Every single one of my sessions is customized to your needs. Your pets don’t need to be the head of the class at obedience school (heck, they don’t even need to be able to sit still).
We’ll work together to design a session that reflects the love that you and your pet share, all while keeping them safe, happy and comfortable.
STEP 1:
Say Hello! It’s a quick and easy process – just fill out the booking form HERE.
STEP 2:
The session consultation. We’ll schedule a call or zoom in which we’ll plan all of the details: dates, times, locations, and what you’d like to do with the images afterwards.
All sessions require a $200 non-refundable booking deposit which converts to a $200 artwork credit during your ordering.
STEP 3
The session. This is where the magic happens! Leave all worries and expectations at the door and just enjoy the experience. I’ll look after the rest! Each session includes: Up to three pets from the same household (additional pets can be added for a small fee) and 1-3 hours of shooting time.
STEP 4:
The ordering appointment. Held online on zoom or at my studio, this is where the much-anticipated image reveal happens! You choose your favourites from a curated gallery of 30-50 images, and I’ll walk you through the options as we decide how you’ll most enjoy your images, often through a combination of artwork, prints, albums and digital files.
STEP 5:
Joy! Your products are in, and you can’t stop smiling as you enjoy your gorgeous new artwork!
Star Sessions
As a tribute to my soul dog, Stella, booking deposits are always waived for elderly pets (10+) and palliative pets, and these sessions are given priority booking and a special gift. Everyone deserves to have beautiful images of the pet they love, no matter the circumstances.

If you want to create one of these one-of-a-kind pieces of art, let me know and we’ll get started on your masterpiece together! Given the intense post-production required for these pieces, a minimum print size purchase of 16×20″ (starting at $659) is required and a social media sized file for sharing is included.

Session Locations
On Location
On location sessions can be held anywhere you’d like within Guelph and the surrounding area. These sessions are generally booked in the hours closest to sunrise and sunset. I have a guide to share some of my favourite spots with you or we can can travel to a spot that is special to you and your pet. Location matters! The more beautiful the spot we choose, the more beautiful the images will be.
Studio Sessions
My home studio is located in the east end of Guelph and has lots of parking available or I can bring my portable studio set-up to your home for the ultimate in convenience.

YOUR PET’S TIME TO SHINE!
Don't worry about that leash!
Nearly all outdoor sessions take place with your pup on leash. Studio sessions can be both on or off-leash depending on how your pet is feeling that day. Don’t worry, I’ll professionally edit those leashes out for you!
On the day of the session, the only rule is relax and have fun! If you’re having a great time, you can guarantee your pet is too (they’re probably getting WAY more treats than you).
After your pet photography session, we’ll get together for the big reveal of your images! I have access to the finest professional photography labs and will help you choose the best way to display your art.
Whether it’s a hip acrylic or metal print, a timeless framed canvas, or an album full of your pet’s cute face – all products are guaranteed to be of the highest craftsmanship and are guaranteed to give you a daily smile. Your $200 session retainer converts to a $200 print credit at your purchasing appointment. That print credit will be applied against a package that suits your needs and budget – and all of the packages can be customized! Most clients invest an additional $500-$2000 on their artwork.

FAQ
Yes! Almost all the pets I photograph are on a lead during their session. Action shots can be captured with a special long line. Leash removal in post-processing is part of my job, and I can make it look like that lead was never there. Being on a leash often helps the pet to feel safer, understand better what is being asked of them, and allows us to get more shots. Just let me know what kind of images you love and I’ll bring the tools to make it happen safely!
Anywhere you’d like! We will discuss session locations during our planning consultation. I have some favourite locations I can share with you, or you can choose one of your own. A minimal charge may apply for locations more than 25km from Guelph. Studio shoots can take place at my home studio or in your home.
No problem, we will simply select a quiet location that doesn’t see much foot traffic or dog traffic. If you really want some privacy for your session, we can also schedule a studio session at my home studio or in your home for ultimate comfort. I’ve also got some very long lenses in case your pet isn’t sure about new people – we can still capture stunning images while maintaining a distance that keeps your pet happy and confident.
We will try our best to hold our session at the agreed upon date and time, however sometimes Mother Nature has other plans and we will definitely reschedule. If you or our furry model is feeling under the weather, kindly let me know we need to reschedule as soon as you realize.
As many as you’d like! Three pets from the same household are included in the Signature Session fee. Extra pets can be added to the shoot for a small charge.
It’s ok! While it’s always a good idea to work on your pet’s sit and stay behaviour before our session, I can guarantee you that I have worked with pets that were more challenging than yours! I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to create engaging images no matter what the obedience level of your pet is.
You don’t HAVE to be, but I recommend it! There are more ways that you can be in the images than just a traditional sitting with your pet and smiling at the camera. We can create images that tell the story of your relationship in a fun and natural way. Remember, you don’t have to purchase any images that you don’t love – so why not give it a try? You just might be pleasantly surprised!
In order to set your session up for success, please don’t bring anyone who is not being photographed. We want a nice and calm vibe during our session and extra animals or extra humans can ramp up the energy level making everything too exciting. The only exception is if you have a legitimate pack and you need an extra set of hands to help manage the hounds!
I use a Nikon D850, a Nikon D5 and a variety of Nikon lenses (primarily the 24-70mm and 70-200mm 2.8). I also use off-camera lighting both outdoors and in studio. Additionally, I use a Fujifilm X-HS2 for specialized work and videography.
I offer Collection options that can help you save! I also offer gift certificates as well, and recommend checking in with the intended recipient to make sure that they know what is involved in the pet photography experience.
